WorldFans ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Web3 social platform at worldfans.social.

WorldFans operates as a decentralized social network using World ID for human verification and WLD for micropayments. We are not a financial institution, exchange, or custodian of your assets.

2. World ID and Human Verification

What we receive: When you verify with World ID, we receive only a cryptographic proof (nullifier hash) that confirms you are a unique human. We do NOT receive or store:

• Biometric data (iris scans)
• Personal identification documents
• Your real name or government ID
• Your physical location during verification

The World ID verification is privacy-preserving by design. Your proof of personhood cannot be traced back to your biometric data.

3. Information We Collect

We collect minimal information necessary to operate the platform:

• Wallet Address: Your World App wallet address for receiving WLD payments
• Profile Information: Username, display name, bio, and avatar you choose to share
• Content: Posts, comments, and media you create and share
• Transaction Data: On-chain records of tips and payments (public on Worldchain)
• Usage Data: Anonymous analytics to improve the platform

4. WLD Payments and Financial Data

We are not a custodian. WorldFans does not hold, store, or have access to your WLD tokens or private keys. All payments are:

• Processed directly through Worldchain (Ethereum L2)
• Sent from your World App wallet to recipients
• Recorded publicly on the blockchain
• Subject to the 95/5 revenue split (95% to creator, 5% protocol fee)

We do not have access to your wallet, cannot reverse transactions, and cannot freeze your funds.

5. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the WorldFans platform
• To process and facilitate WLD micropayments
• To prevent spam and ensure human-only participation
• To display your public profile and content
• To send notifications about activity on your account
• To improve our services through anonymous analytics

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information only:

• When required by law or legal process
• To protect the rights and safety of users
• With service providers who help operate the platform (under strict agreements)
• Public content you post is visible to all users

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data
• Delete your account and associated data
• Export your content
• Opt out of non-essential communications

Note: On-chain transactions cannot be deleted as they are permanently recorded on the blockchain.
